Turner dropped by Olathe Northwest

Future Nebraska Cornhusker Shavon Shields was a little too much for the Turner Golden Bears on Friday night.

Shields scored a game-high 29 points in the Ravens' 58-40 victory.

Nick Rodriguez scored a team-high 13 points for Turner, while Eric Dougherty added 12 for the Golden Bears.

It was a tall task for the Golden Bears, as Olathe Northwest features two future Division 1 players in their starting lineup. Along with Shields, future Kentucky Wildcat Willie Cauley added 10 points.

However, Turner hung in there against what many consider the top team in Kansas 6A.

After a slow start with just five points in the first quarter, Turner was only outscored by 13 points the rest of the way.
