KCK Preps Track and
Field Weekly Honor Roll
4-16-12 thru 4-21-12
KCK Preps will attempt to keep a
weekly track and field honor roll for the 10 schools in our coverage area. The
results for this honor roll were taken from result sheets from the different area
meets. There are meets that have taken place where we do not have results.

Athlete of the Week
Bethany Bailey – Bonner Springs – Pole Vault
In an event that doesn’t get nearly as many competitors in
our coverage area as others I am showing some love to the women pole vaulters.
This week’s athlete of the week is vaulter Bethany Bailey. At the Bonner
Springs Invitational, Bailey who in last week’s honor roll was 3rd
with a vault of 6-6 smashed that height clearing the bar at 8-0. The following
day at the KU Relays Bethany wasn’t done! She vaulted a 10-8 to earn 8th
place.

Athlete of the Week
Nashon Thomas – Sumner Academy - Hurdles
Thomas continues to dominate the hurdles this season here
locally. In this week’s Bonner Springs
Invitational he swept the 110 and 300m Hurdles. Nashon currently leads the KCK
Preps area in both events with times of 15.47 and 41.0.
