One of the best guards in the Kaw Valley League signed with Hutchinson Community College today.
B.J. Watson will be trading in his Bonner Springs black and gold for Hutchinson's Blue and White.
Watson signed with Hutchinson this morning. He was joined by the Bonner Springs coaching staff, his family, Adrian Goodlow, Stevie Williams and Derrick Estelle, one of Watson's earliest coaches in Wyandotte County.
There was also a special guest - Southern Mississippi point guard Neil Watson was there "by speakerphone."
Watson averaged nearly 14 points, 3 assists and over 2 steals a game. He led Bonner Springs to over 30 wins the past two seasons.
For the Watson family, it's two down, one to go. Their youngest son A.J. is a fifth-grader and he's expected to play basketball in the future.
