During the Schlagle Stallions breakout season last year, Stallions linebacker Trevon Wallace snuck under the radar.
He served as blocking fullback on offense, helping the Stallions rushing attack dominate the competition last year.
However, it was his defense that was quite good, especially near the end of the season.
After a bit of a slow start in terms of tackle numbers in the first month of the season, Wallace closed out his campaign with three double-digit tackling performances.
In a 68-28 victory against the Wyandotte Bulldogs, Wallace had 12 total tackles for the Stallions in a game that separated Schlagle from the pack in the Kansas City Kansas - Atchison League.
During district play, Wallace continued his solid performance.
Against Lansing, Wallace had a phenomenal 21 tackles in the game - including 10 solo tackles. The following week, Wallace tallied 10 tackles against arch-rival Washington.
In total, Wallace collected 77 tackles for Schlagle's defense and he figures to be one of the best players this season in the KCAL.
Wallace is an outstanding wrestler, meaning there's a certain toughness to him.
Expect him to continue to make waves next year and if the chips fall right, a top notch JUCO program should be the worst case scenario for Wallace.
