Bishop Ward High School officially announced that it has selected Zack Swanson to be the new head basketball coach for the 2012-2013 school year.
“I think the entire Bishop Ward community will enjoy Zack’s passion and enthusiasm for the game and for our school,” Athletic Director Greg Duggins said. “I feel very blessed and honored to have him here.”
A 2004 Pittsburg State graduate, Swanson has spent the last eight seasons coaching at Shawnee Mission West as freshman and JV head coach, and then later as a varsity assistant.
“This is a great opportunity to coach at a school with a lot of pride and potential for success,” he said. “I look forward to having the chance to work with dedicated and hard-working young men.”
