KCK Preps Football Workouts

by David Brox, davidbrox@shukc.com

We will be back to work June 22nd and 23rd as we continue to bring the best players together to workout and hopefully get a little better each time out.

I got contacted by the KC Bulldawgs youth football team about doing a workout for the younger players and the answer is yes.  June 22nd at 6:00 PM Washington High School practice field we will hold a workout for grades 4th - 8th.  Austin and I are real excited to work with the kids.

To all the TeamSHUKC players please reach out to me if you are available at this time.  I would really like 1 or 2 to show up and demonstrate the drills that we do and show the kids what they should be trying to accomplish.  A good mentoring opportunity and solid sign of leadership in the community.  You will never be the master of anything until you can teach it.  I know a few people actually played on this team so again your support is appreciated.

June 23rd 7:30 AM at Bonner Field we will hold another workout and I am expecting a good number of the top players in the city to show up.  I am really hoping we can get at least 15 so we can do some all star 7 on 7 work so if you want to come out and compete against some good competition definitely let me know.

If you need the waiver form please let me know.  The workout sessions are $15 dollars.  Bring cleats and plenty to drink.  I am going to dig out my cooler to bring some cold water.

Don't hesitate to reach out for details.

KCK Preps - 7 on 7 Highlights 6-10-2012 @ Piper

by David Brox, davidbrox@shukc.com

I will be working on some names but I am pretty sure the young man who really showed off Monday was Lucas Mein from Lansing.  Mein is a two sport star as he was very effective on the basketball team.  The young man was simply all over the field.  Very good route running and ability to move with the ball.  He will definitely be a player to watch this season for the Lions.  If you want to share your name on a particular play please contact me.  I am trying to gather as much information as I can get leading into the season.

The bulk of these highligths however are on the defensive side of the ball where the word of the day was interception.  That is spelled INT!!  Check out the highlights.
